Africa Quilt-$330-

This gorgeous quilt will fit a King size bed or will hang almost to the floor on a Queen. This is a one-only, my design but with large, “inspired-by-others” silhouettes of African animals, a stunning African Safari Silhouette in Reds & Black – with a bright yellow moon or sun. I’ve used a Red ombre fabric that graduates from a deep burgundy to an almost orange-red and the silhouettes are in contrasting BLACK.

I keep saying that photos don’t do quilts justice – you really have to see it to be suitably impressed! A generous size and a real statement piece! I’ve added a couple of photos to show you the process of making it – 2nd photo is “it’s a big beggar” and the 3rd photo shows you some of the “million” safety pins it takes to “sandwich” the project together to get it ready for quilting! Once I unclip it from hanging it for photos, I will take some photos on both beds – King & Queen to show you the fit on those two beds. It measures 245cms across x 235 long

Quilt Hand Made Painted Horse definitely One-of-a-Kind- $200-

This gorgeous Painted Horse Quilt is finally completed and is looking for its “Forever Home” with someone who loves Horses & bright colours. This is a One-Of-a-Kind Quilt because I bought the Painted Horse & the gorgeous electric colour co-ordinating fabric in the States and naturally I haven’t travelled over there to buy any more – if it is still available, that is! He/She is just beautiful and I have freehand quilted the centre panel to enhance the body, the colourful mane & the tail. It is really something special and the colours are so bright when you see it “in the flesh”! As I always say, photos never do my quilts justice and you need to see and feel them to really appreciate my creations. As is usual, my quilts are fully washable though they stay beautiful with less washing & more love & care! A generous size of 2m x 2m it will fit any size bed. Would make very special gift, maybe for Christmas? Can be posted for an extra $20. We have Lay-by facilities for easy purchase.

 

 

Quilt Hand Made King Size “Under the Deep Blue Sea – $375-

This gorgeous King size quilt has just been completed! In eye catching Blues, it features stunning print panels of Dolphins & Orcas playing on & under the water. The colours are so bright, fresh & appealing & would be a startling feature of your bedroom. The photos have been taken on a King size bed but when I laid it out on the spare bed – a Queen – the edges of the quilt were about 2” or 5cms up from the floor. All my quilts are BRAND NEW & labeled with their own name – in this case “Under the Deep Blue Sea” with Quiltz by Shirlz, 2021. There is room on the label to write a personal message if you are buying it as a gift for someone. The backing is tiny blue fish on a deeper blue background – gives it a sapphire or royal blue look! All my bed quilts are fully washable – with care but it is always best to respect them & take extra care to keep them clean so they only need airing rather than machine washing. Most of my quilts are “One Only” and this one is not likely to be repeated. Normally we would hang the new quilt to take photos but this was just too big to mange that so you’ve got photos on the bed instead! Remember, photos never do the quilts justice and when you see them “in the flesh” you will be blown away. We can post if needed for an extra $20 though we’d much prefer to see your smile when you come to collect. We’re at Happy Valley so give me a call or text for immediate response. Quilt Hand-made Gorgeous in Reds can be done in other colors – $180-

Another of my hand-made patchwork quilts in Gorgeous Reds. Big enough to cover a Queen size bed – photo is taken on a Queen size, and cosy and warm. My quilts are mostly One-of-a-Kind so the first one in gets to own it! Third photo – of black with white spots centre square with bright red floral fabric surround, is the back side of the quilt but of course all my quilts are fully washable and reversible so you can choose to use either side – or alternate just for a different look! Easy for you to collect with respected social distancing. I live in Happy Valley but am happy to put in the post for you with about an extra $15 delivery package (pre-post satchel). Includes a beautifully made quilt – approximately 190cm square – fits on top of a Queen size bed as you can see in the photo. (Ignore the flower quilt hanging on the wall – but I’ve strung the bunting up across it just to take the photo.) This gorgeous KIARNA quilt set is sitting on top of my other quilts in my guest bedroom so you will have to excuse the brown quilt below it and it’s matching brown pillowcase that’s showing! – The “Kiarna” Set has a pillowcase to match, as you can see, with name appliqued on the front, and plenty of matching bunting to decorate their room. Little details on this quilt include appliqued hearts, and embroidered hearts along the white frills. Call me if you have different thoughts or needs. This is a Special quilt, full of Cute Appliqued pictures and Thoughtful Words. On a soft cream background, each block has something different to think about and the whole quilt is one to enjoy. All hand worked, this is a quilt that I will not b repeating due to the amount of time & effort involved. So if you want iit for yourself or as a gift for that special someone, get it now!
